Philip from P. Joseph was the commissioned architect selected to transform a five-story townhouse into a London based fashion house. We were chosen based on our naturalistic planting style to create a courtyard garden. The garden would essentially be an installation, a theatrical backdrop for small fashion shows and high fashion viewings. We were very sympathetic in our approach to the historical value and nature of the building, with this in mind we based our design around a Victorian plant collector’s glasshouse. Our creative desire was to make a garden which held an elegant fusion between Victorian collector’s curiosity and a contemporary fashion house setting. With the use of dramatic evergreen planting we succeed in creating a stylish and courtly garden in central London where one can feel enveloped in a sub-tropical oasis.
